Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. General Principle โ€” No-Refund Policy

All purchases made on scrapebadger.com, whether for Pay As You Go credit top-ups or subscription plans, are final and non-refundable as a general rule. By completing a purchase, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to this policy.

This policy applies to all plan types and all payment methods. The no-refund rule is designed to protect the integrity of the Service and to prevent misuse, including but not limited to purchasing a plan or credits for the purpose of testing or evaluating the Service and subsequently seeking a refund of the purchase price.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all of the following:

  • Pay As You Go (PAYG) credit top-ups of any denomination;
  • Monthly subscription plans, including Starter, Growth, Pro, and Scale tiers;
  • Any promotional, discounted, or bundled purchases made through the Platform;
  • Renewals of any active subscription plan.

3. Subscription Cancellation

Customers may cancel their subscription at any time through their account dashboard. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. The following conditions apply:

  • Access after cancellation: Upon cancellation, the Customer retains access to the subscribed plan until the end of the current paid billing period. No partial or pro-rated refunds will be issued for any unused portion of the billing period.
  • No credit rollover: Unused credits do not carry over to the next billing cycle and will expire at the end of each monthly period, regardless of cancellation status.
  • Immediate stop: If a Customer wishes to stop being charged immediately, they must cancel their subscription. No retroactive refunds will be granted for prior billing cycles.

4. Pay As You Go Credits

All Pay As You Go credit purchases are final and non-refundable. PAYG credits do not expire automatically and remain available on the Customer's account until fully consumed, subject to the Customer's continued compliance with the Terms of Service.

5. Discretionary Exceptions

Notwithstanding the General Principle set out in Section 1, ScrapeBadger reserves the sole and absolute discretion to consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis under the following limited circumstances:

5.1 Accidental Purchase

A refund may be considered where the Customer can demonstrate that a purchase was made in error (e.g., duplicate transaction, wrong plan selected) and provided that:

  • No API credits have been consumed under the relevant purchase at the time the refund request is submitted;
  • The refund request is submitted in writing to the support team within seven (7) calendar days of the purchase date;
  • The Customer provides sufficient documentation to substantiate the accidental nature of the transaction.

5.2 Established Customer Goodwill

ScrapeBadger may, at its discretion, extend a refund or account credit to Customers who have a documented history of recurring purchases and who submit a refund request in good faith. Such consideration is entirely discretionary and does not constitute a right or an obligation on the part of ScrapeBadger.

5.3 Documented Service Failure

Where ScrapeBadger experiences a verified, extended service outage or technical failure that renders the Service wholly unavailable for a continuous period exceeding forty-eight (48) hours during a paid billing period, the Customer may request a pro-rated account credit for the affected period. This clause does not apply to scheduled maintenance windows, partial degradation, or outages caused by third-party providers outside of ScrapeBadger's reasonable control.

6. Circumstances Excluded from Refund Eligibility

The following circumstances do not qualify for a refund under any conditions:

  • The Customer purchased a plan or credits for the purpose of testing, evaluating, or trialling the Service and is dissatisfied with the results;
  • The Customer has consumed any portion of the purchased credits, regardless of the volume consumed;
  • The Customer changed their mind after purchase or no longer requires the Service;
  • The Customer's account was suspended or terminated due to a violation of the Terms of Service;
  • The Customer failed to cancel their subscription prior to an automatic renewal;
  • The Customer was unaware of the pricing, credit volume, or plan features at the time of purchase, where such information was clearly disclosed on the Platform;
  • The Customer's use case was incompatible with the Service's intended functionality.

7. How to Submit a Refund Request

Customers who believe they qualify under one of the discretionary exceptions listed in Section 5 may submit a refund request by contacting the support team at support@scrapebadger.com.

All refund requests must include the following information:

  • Full name and registered email address associated with the account;
  • Order reference number or transaction ID;
  • Date of purchase;
  • A clear description of the reason for the request and the specific exception being claimed;
  • Any supporting documentation (e.g., screenshot of duplicate charge, account usage data).

ScrapeBadger will acknowledge receipt of all refund requests within five (5) business days and will endeavour to communicate its decision within fourteen (14) business days. ScrapeBadger reserves the right to request additional information before making a determination.

8. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Customers are strongly encouraged to contact ScrapeBadger directly before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with their bank or payment provider. Initiating a chargeback without first attempting resolution through the support process may result in the immediate suspension or permanent termination of the Customer's account. ScrapeBadger reserves the right to contest any chargeback that it believes to be initiated in bad faith or in contravention of this Policy.

9. Modifications to This Policy

ScrapeBadger reserves the right to amend this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Any material changes will be communicated via the Platform or by email notification to registered Customers. Continued use of the Service following the effective date of any amendment shall constitute acceptance of the revised Policy.

10. Governing Law

This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which ScrapeBadger is registered and operates. Any disputes arising in connection with this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
